HGCC In The Know

 2022 LPGA Tournament of Champions  This past week Assistant Superintendent, Chris Coddington headed south to Lake Nona Country Club in Orlando, FL to work the opening LPGA Tournament of the season The Hilton Vacations Tournament of Champions. Starting Wednesday, January 18 through Sunday, January 23 Chris assisted the Management Team at Lake Nona by overseeing all aspects of the Driving Range and Fairways along with assisting in other areas that were needed.  His day started at 3:45AM when the Management Team would arrive to meet and prepare for the maintenance team to arrive at 4:30AM. HGCC In The Know (Winter Update)

The agronomy team has been working diligently inside and out to prepare for the upcoming season. We use the winter months to break down every piece of equipment to sharpen, check, and set each cutting unit, check for any issues that need addressed, as well as, going through all preventive maintenance procedures.   As weather permits we continue to prepare the course and grounds to allow us to jump start the  2022 season. We are currently working on cleaning up unsafe/dead trees that will enhance the golf  property along with cleaning up the fence lines on Grandview and our main entrance  on 52nd St.                        Be on the lookout next week as Assistant Superintendent, Chris Coddington heads to Orlando, FL to volunteer with the Agronomy staff at Lake Nona Country Club to help prepare the course at the LPGA Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions.
